Lantern & Spine does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or cross-site behavioral profiles as part of the current Society experience.
Essential hosting and security functions may use technical cookies or similar browser mechanisms. The original guided reading journeys use local browser storage for room progress and challenge checklists so a visitor can return on the same device without an account.
When a reader signs into the Society, the site also stores a Firebase session record in browser local storage so the member can remain signed in on that device. That session is separate from the local guided-reading progress.
Local guided progress can be removed with the available Reset Saved Progress control or by clearing site data in the browser. Signing out removes the Society session from the device; clearing browser site data can also remove local session and guided-progress information.
If nonessential analytics, advertising technologies, or materially different browser storage are added later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before activation.
Effective: August 27, 2026.
